Description

A course for learners with previous Tai Chi experience who are ready to deepen their practice, refine their technique, and build confidence through the continued study of Sets 1–28 of the Chen Style Form.

What can students expect?

A friendly, relaxed, and interactive class with opportunities to chat and ask questions. You will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by foundational exercises to explore the core principles of Tai Chi: good body alignment, relaxation, balance, and harmonious whole-body movements. You will focus on movements from the Chen style Tai Chi form. This intermediate class is perfect for those who have some experience with Tai Chi or are willing to practice between sessions to enhance their skills.

Late starters allowed?

Yes, however it is recommended you join by the second session to make the most of the course.

Previous experience required?

Yes, either completion of a beginners’ course or an understanding of the basics of Tai Chi, along with a willingness to learn quickly and catch up (or an acceptance that they might be a bit behind others).

What is the progression route?

Learners can re-enrol the following term.

Are there any extra costs?

No.

Work set between sessions?

Yes. Learners are encouraged to practise between classes.

What should students bring?

Teaching method/style?

Exercises are demonstrated and explained, then mirrored by learners. Includes small group activities, pair work, and individual practice, with corrections provided by the tutor.

Course Cancellations and Refunds

If we cancel your course

If you cancel

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: refund minus a 20% administration fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no refund provided.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
</ul>

Refund processing

<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>
</ul>

Transfers

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: transfer minus a 10% transfer fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days notice, subject to availability.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
<li>If we cancel your course, and you wish to transfer to another course this will be free of charge.</li>
