Description

Lacking confidence in your computer skills? This course will help you get to grips with using the Internet, emails and create simple documents. Suitable for beginners or those who wish to refresh their basic skills.

What can students expect?

An ideal introduction for beginners or confidence boost for those wanting to refresh their basic Internet and email skills. 

Please not that this course will take place in our computer room which is situated on the 1st floor. We have a standard chair lift, but unfortunately at the moment the building is not fully accessible.

Late starters allowed?

Yes – at session 2, but no later.

Previous experience required?

Suitable for beginners or those wanting to refresh their basic computer skills.

What is the progression route?

We offer a range of other computer courses you may like to join.

Are there any extra costs?

No

Work set between sessions?

There will be no work set between sessions, but learners are encouraged to practice at home.

What should students bring?

We recommend you have a have a pen and notepad to take notes in the session.

Teaching method/style?

The tutor will provide direct instructions and will offer individual support and guidance throughout the course.

Equipment Required

Our PCs at Stoke Lodge have MS Office installed for your use.

Course Cancellations and Refunds

If we cancel your course

If you cancel

<li>7 days or more before the start date: refund minus a 20% administration fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no refund provided.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
</ul>

Refund processing

<ul>
<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>
</ul>

Transfers

<ul>
<li>7 days or more before the start date: transfer minus a 10% transfer fee.</li>
<li>Less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: no transfer provided.</li>
<li>All transfers are subject to availability.</li>
<li>Transfers between Language levels may be possible with less than 7 days notice, subject to availability.</li>
<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>
<li>If we cancel your course, and you wish to transfer to another course this will be free of charge.</li>
