Description

A weeklong Summer School suitable for beginners and improvers. Beginners will make a leaded stained-glass panel while those with experience will develop their skills, try new techniques and work on their own project.

What can students expect?

Beginners will be taken step by step through the whole making process to create a simple leaded stained-glass panel. Those with some experience can develop their skills, try new techniques and work on their own project. Join us for a week of fun and intensive study!

This course will be delivered at Stoke Lodge.

Late starters allowed?

Yes.

Previous experience required?

No.

What is the progression route?

Following this course, learners can join the Wednesday afternoon courses to progress their skills and learn new techniques or can enrol on a Saturday one day Copperfoil course and learn the copper foil (Tiffany style) technique.

Are there any extra costs?

Yes. Fee includes classroom sundries; in addition, learners need to purchase coloured glass, lead and solder either from the tutor or from a local supplier. They can discuss this with the tutor before the start of the course. Approximate cost £50-£55 for coloured glass and leads for an A3 sized panel.

Work set between sessions?

No, but learners may choose to continue to develop their design at home or make a trip to the local stained-glass suppliers.

What should students bring?

</ul>

2 or 3 different design ideas - these can be in form of doodles, sketches, photographs, pictures from books or magazines. They will act as inspiration and a starting point to for you develop an original design idea to make your stained-glass panel.

• If we cancel your course, your fees will be refunded in full.

• We cannot reimburse the cost of any materials you may have purchased.

Cancellations by You

• If you cancel 7 days or more before the course start date: Refund issued minus a 20% administration fee.

• If you cancel less than 7 days before the start date or after the course has started: No refund will be issued.

Transfers

• Transfers must be requested at least 7 days before the course start date.

• A 10% transfer fee applies.

• Transfers due to our cancellation of your original course are free of charge.

Illness and Absence

• No refunds are available for non-attendance due to sickness or ill health.

• Refunds are returned via the original payment method:

• Booked online or by phone - Refund to the card used.

• Paid in person at Stoke Lodge - Please bring your payment card to the office.

Online Course Access

• Learners are responsible for ensuring they have suitable internet access and equipment before the course begins.

• No refunds will be issued due to technical issues with a learner’s own internet or computer.
