<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">This course is aimed at intermediate and more advanced learners (at least 3 terms of previous learning). Learners can plan and make a window with one-to-one tuition support. They can learn other techniques such as kiln fired glass painting/stain/ enamel, fusing and slumping, copperfoil and stained-glass mosaic.</span></span></p>

What can students expect?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">You can choose their own project in negotiation with the tutor. You will plan and make leaded panels and windows. You will be able to develop skills in both design and Stained-Glass making. Learners can learn how to make test samples and apply new techniques into own creative glass work. </span></span></p>

Late starters allowed?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Yes, but it is best to join by week 2 or 3 to get the most out of the course.</span></span></p>
Previous experience required?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Yes. At least 3 terms’ worth of previous learning.</span></span></p>
What is the progression route?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Learners can re-enrol on the same course to develop skills in design and making. They may also enrol on the Summer School. </span></span></p>
Are there any extra costs?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Yes. Learners will need to purchase materials coloured glass, lead and for larger panels more solder and cement. Learners can purchase coloured glass from tutor or visit local glass suppliers. Materials costs may vary depending on the scale of the project, but for an A3 sized panel learners can expect to pay £55 approx.</span></span></p>
Work set between sessions?
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Between classes, learners can do research on the internet or by work on their sketches and designs. They can also order materials from a local supplier if they want to buy their glass directly. There is no homework set specifically.</span></span></p>
What should students bring?

Teaching method/style?
<p><span style="font-size:16px"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">Formal teaching and demonstrations. Individual support and learning checks and group discussions, books, photos and samples for study.</span></span></p>
Equipment Required
<p><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Equipment and tools provided. The tutor can advise you if you choose to purchase any of your own equipment. Fee includes classroom sundries (e.g. paper, masking tape, tracing paper, glass cleaner, kiln shelf paper, two strips of solder, fluxes, white spirit, patinas, glass paints, etc).</span></span></p>

Refunds and cancellations
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If we have to cancel your course your fees will be refunded in full. We are unable to reimburse the cost of materials you may have bought for the course.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel your course booking a week (7 days) or more before the start date we will refund your fees minus an admin charge of 20%.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">If you cancel with less than a week (7 days) before the start date or after the course has started, we will not be able to refund your fees.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Transfers will incur a fee of 10% and must be requested 7 days or more before the start of a course unless you are transferring to another course because your original course was cancelled.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are not able to offer refunds due to sickness or ill health.</span></span></span></li>

Refunds will not be given for technical failure of a learner’s home computer or their internet access.</span></span></span></p>
