Description

A welcoming one-day workshop, ideal for anyone interested in learning stained-glass copper foiling, with learners creating a unique dragonfly or butterfly decoration while developing practical skills and confidence under tutor guidance.

What can students expect?

You will be introduced to the art of stained-glass copper foiling and guided through each stage of the process, including design, glass cutting, foiling, and soldering. You will have the opportunity to create your own design or work from provided templates, producing a finished decoration to take home at the end of the workshop.

What is the progression route?

Learners can enrol on the Wednesday stained-glass courses or the "Stained-Glass Summer School".

Are there any extra costs?

Yes. Learners will need to purchase coloured glass and any additional solder from the tutor on the day (approximately £15; please bring cash). Course fees include workshop sundries such as paper, masking tape, tracing paper, glass cleaner, copper foil, solder, fluxes, and patinas.

What should students bring?

<li>Two or three design ideas (e.g. sketches, doodles, or pictures of angels, stars, or other simple decoration designs). Templates will also be provided.</li>

Teaching method/style?

Teaching will include demonstrations and hands-on practice in a fun, relaxed, and creative environment.

Equipment Required

Equipment and tools are provided. The tutor can advise learners who wish to purchase their own equipment.

<li>Enrolments are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, you will not be able to send another person in your place.</li>

Refund processing

<li>Refunds for online or telephone enrolments will be made via the original payment method within 14 days of approval. </li>
<li>If you enrolled in the office, you will need to come in with your payment card to arrange a refund.</li>

Transfers
