Baby Massage

<p>A wonderful, relaxed way to enhance your bond with your baby. Learn easy techniques to help relieve colic and constipation and to improve sleep patterns. You will gain a better understanding of babies needs and how to understand their verbal and non verbal cues. From learning the benefits of infant massage, parents will have increased opportunities for bonding and attachments to be formed. Take part in a relaxing activity, promoting one to one time for you and your baby</p>

<p>By the end of this course you will be able to: </p>

<li>Know the four major benefits of baby massage </li>
<li>Gain an increased confidence in handling your baby </li>
<li>Increase your understanding of your baby’s non verbal cues and how to respond to them </li>
<li>Become familiar with baby massage strokes also incorporating nursery rhymes that you can use with your baby at home </li>
<li>Have an increase in social activities, meet other parents/carers, make friends and develop a support network</li>
</ul>

<p>Suitable for parents/carers with babies under 6 months old or babies older than 6 months that aren&#039;t yet crawling.</p>

<p>Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, a towel and cushion for your baby to lie on, plus a small & quiet sensory toy. Please also bring your own lotion/oil to use on your baby.</p>

<p>There will be demonstration by the course tutor and active participation from learners guided by the tutor.</p>

<p>There is no formal assessment however there will be continuous monitoring by the tutor throughout the session. Handouts will also be supplied to support learning and questions can be asked throughout the session.</p>

<p>There are no additional costs.</p>

<p>This is a non-accredited community learning course and therefore no qualification will be obtained.</p>
