Beginners Excel

<p>Suitable for beginners who have basic IT skills. This course will include an introduction to the purpose of Microsoft Excel and cover starting the program/app, saving and opening spreadsheets, entering/editing/deleting data, making calculations, formatting and printing.</p>

<p>By the end of the course you will be able to: Explain what a spreadsheet is used for Create and save a spreadsheet Input and format data in a worksheet Use simple formulae and functions</p>

<p>This course is suitable for learners who have little experience of Microsoft Excel. If you are a complete beginner then please attend the IT Open Session on Fridays for an assessment. Our tutor will be able to give you some help before booking you on to a formal course.</p>

<p>Pen, pencil and notepad might be useful.</p>

<p>Observing tutor demonstrations and completing a series of exercises under guidance of the tutor.</p>

<p>Tutor observation, question and answer and the completion of exercises.</p>

<p>There are no additional costs.</p>

<p>There is no formal qualification for this Community Learning course.</p>
