Word Next Steps

<p>Following on from Word Basics, this course covers further functionality to create more interesting and well formatted documents. The course will include inserting images, using headers and footers, inserting bullet points, creating simple tables, and other formatting options. If required and time permitting the tutor will also include mail merge.</p>

<p>By the end of the course you will be able to: </p>

<li>Insert images into a document </li>
<li>Use headers, footers and bullet points</li>
<li>Create and use simple tables</li>
<li>Insert page breaks and other formatting techniques </li>
</ul>

<p>Suitable for self-taught learners, learners who have used Word in the past and as a next step for learners who have completed a beginner Word course and those who are using Word currently and want to use further features of Word. If you are a complete beginner then please attend the IT Open Session on Fridays for an assessment. Our tutor will be able to give you some help before booking you on to a formal course.</p>

<p>Pen, pencil and notepad might be useful.</p>

<p>Observing tutor demonstrations and completing a series of exercises under guidance of the tutor.</p>

<p>Tutor observation, question and answer and the completion of exercises.</p>

<p>There are no additional costs.</p>

<p>There is no formal qualification for this Community Learning course.</p>

<p>Self-development during our IT Open Session or further IT courses.</p>
